Our Story: Dr. Ishii and his Legacy

Established in 1973, Japan's first cosmetic dermatology clinic, Dr. Ishii Medical Esthetic Salon, was opened in Aoyama, Tokyo by dermatologist Dr. Reijiro Ishii.

Dr. Ishii became the chief consulting physician for major cosmetic brands, such as Kanebo and Max Factor, and he was behind the development of SK-II and its bestselling Facial Treatment Essence.

Putting smiles on the faces of those suffering from skin concerns: this is Dr. Ishii's wish, which has not changed for over 40 years.

Moving on to F-Ishii Ferment Filtrate from Nakamura Kin

Seeking the best Fermentation liquid for 50years! Finally succeeded in developing the world's first rice fermentation solution based on microbial symbiosis, "F-Ishii".
In 2023, we released "Ishii Clinic Fermented Mask" as an in hospital prescription drug and "ISHII CLINIC BEATY LABO Standard Line" as Basic Cosmetic product.

Born from the voices of cosmetic clinics, A new way of skin care while wearing masks.

While masks have become necessities in our daily lifestyles, we desired to address skin concerns from mask wearing head-on for our patents. We searched for ideas from a cosmetic dermatology perspective. We focused on creating a more comfortable environment for the skin and to aim for a more beautiful complexion. The resulting idea was to both partake in skin care while removing friction between mask and skin, an approach we call "InMask Salon".
